Job description
Title: "Use of Caenorhabditis elegans for the generation of recombinant vaccine candidates for the sheep parasitic nematode Teladorsagia circumcincta".
This project will use technologies at the forefront of vaccine research to generate and evaluate recombinant parasite antigens using a novel Caenorhabditis elegans expression system. Registered with the University of Glasgow, you will join a high calibre team with access to all the facilities required to complete an excellent postgraduate qualification within the internationally renowned Moredun Research Institute and the University of Glasgow.
Company Information
This PhD has funding for 3 years. We have approximately 20 PhD studenst throughout the Institute at any one time so there is an extensive support and social network for students. Skills and Qualifications
Applications are invited from graduates with at least a 2i (Hons) or MSc. in an appropriate biological science, preferably in Parasitology and/or Immunology with some molecular experience but this is not essential. The project will be based at the Moredun Research Institute, Edinburgh, and the studentship will be registered with the University of Glasgow. This studentship is only available to EU citizens, and full tuition fees and a standard PhD stipend will be provided.
